You can use this oil-based cleanser to cleanse oily and combination skin and remove makeup easily without harsh chemicals!
1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons of hazelnut, apricot or your favorite oil
1 tbsp organic coconut oil
1 tbsp wild-harvested candelilla wax
1 tsp organic ucuuba butter
1/2 cup distilled water or lemon hydrosol
1/4 tsp borax
1 large or 2 small vitamin E capsules
20 drops organic lemon essential oil
10 drops organic sweet orange essential oil
Heat in a small saucepan over low heat or in a double boiler, warm the base oils, was, and ucuuba butter until just melted. In another pan, slightly warm the water or hydrosol and stir in the borax until it dissolves.
Remove both pans from heat and pour the oils/wax/butter mixture into the blender to cool until it just begins to thicken and becomes opaque, about 5-10 minutes. It will be a soft, loose salve. Give the mixture a few stirs to remove any lumps and incorporate any of the mixture that sticks to the sides of the blender.
Place the lid on the blender and remove the lid's plastic piece. Turn the blender on high and slowly drizzle the water hydrosol through the center of the lid into the vortex of swirling fats below. Bless with your intention for the potion.
Blend for 10-15 seconds. Stop and use a spatula to mix together the rest from the sides. Add the vitamin E oil. Blend once or twice more and bottle in a glass container. It works best to cover with a paper towel for thirty minutes to let the potion cool, then cap.
No refrigeration is required if used within 30 days. If your storage area is warm, it is best to use within 3 weeks.
Using a soft cloth, cleansing pad, or your fingers, apply approximately 1/2 to 1 teaspoon to cover entire face and throat. Rinse. Repeat if necessary.
