Customized Perfume/Cologne Aromatic Blend

Different chemical constituents from plants that make up what we know of as aroma all have different therapeutic benefits. This means that everything from the smell of roses to that strain of weed you love so much, all have different benefits because of the different terpene profiles found in them.

 Terpene profiles are one of the primary reasons strains of cannabis are either uplifting and stimulating or sedating and relaxing. After learning much more about the individual constituents found in essential oils in my aromatherapy class, I began wanting to make aromatherapy blends using organic cannabis-derived terpenes and customized blends of organic essential oils.

 Artificial fragrances can be really harmful to body and come with side effects. Perfumes and colognes are some of the most common ways people use artificial chemicals that are damaging to their bodies regularly. These fragrances are commonly trying to poorly mimic what nature already provides us with in the form of plant essential oils. But, artificial fragrances harm us, while plant oils have long lists of therapeutic benefits when used therapeutically.

 

Knowing this, we wanted to produce ethical, healthy perfumes and colognes made entirely out of organic plant oils.

 

Since we are releasing these for May 4^th, we decided to  start out with a bunch of Star War’s themed cannabis terpene profile strains as well as some of our other favorites!

 

Since everyone will be customizing their own blends, we will begin this by listing the different cannabis terpene profile strains we offer and their chemical constituents. Following that, I will list the constituents and their primary therapeutic properties. You will create your own blend according to not just the scent you prefer, but the benefits you are seeking from your aroma blend.

Now that we’ve listed the strains and their main chemical constituents that make up their aromas, we wanted to list these consituents and their primary therapeutic properties in order to give you a better idea of the benefits your specific aroma blend will have. If you want a stimulating blend, you will want to choose a sativa or hybrid terpene profile and blend it with other uplifting oils.

 If you want your aroma blend to relax and calm you, stick with the indica strains and other calming essential oils in your blend. If you’re unsure about what to blend together, feel free to ask us for suggestions. We highly recommend that you begin your customization of your therapeutic blend by first thinking about what you’d like to accomplish with your aroma. If you’re prone to things like anxiety, stress, depression, inflammation, etc… then look at which constituents help most with these issues and choose terpene profiles that contain these compounds. Sometimes people just want a blend that smells really great to them, and that’s fine too. Aroma is a highly subjective experience. Creating your own aromatic blend is also.

 We recommend 1-5 different oils in your blend. You can choose a pure cannabis terpene blend or have it mixed with different ratios of our organic essential oils. We have a long list of different oils to pick from. I can’t list all of their benefits here, but feel free to ask us questions as you make your blend!

 

EXAMPLE: Blue Dream Anti-Anxiety Antidepressant Blend 

1 part Blue Dream Terpene Blend

1 part Lavender essential oil

1 part Neroli essential oil

1 part Sweet Orange essential oil

1 part Lemon essential oil

4 parts sweet almond oil for an oil-based aroma blend

OR 3 parts distilled water and 1 part 100 proof ethanol alcohol for a spray blend 

Put all ingredients into a roll-on bottle, cap and shake well. Or, put all of the oils into a spray bottle then add the water and alcohol, cap, then shake well before each use. Keep out of sunlight and heat.

 

In this blend, we’ve chosen 5 different aroma oils and blended them in either oil or a body spray. We will be offering 5ml and 10ml roll-on bottles or 2oz and 4oz body sprays. Our entire list of other essential oils to choose from is here:
